Trotter tapped to lead GE Industrial

Lloyd G. Trotter, the former CEO of General Electric Co.'s Consumer & Industrial division, has been named president and CEO of GE Industrial.
GE Industrial oversees the Louisville-based Consumer & Industrial unit, as well as Plastics, Advanced Materials, Security, Sensing, Fanuc, Inspection Technologies and Equipment Services.
Trotter left his post at Consumer & Industrial last November to take a position as executive vice president of operations at GE's (NYSE: GE) Fairfield, Conn., headquarters.
At GE Industrial, Trotter replaces John Rice, who has been appointed president and CEO of GE Infrastructure.
Trotter also has been named a GE vice chairman.
