    Owners whose homes slid down riverbank to get $1.35 million

    EDMONTON -- Three Edmonton homeowners whose houses slid into a river valley more than a decade ago will get $1.35 million in compensation under an agreement with the province and the City of Edmonton.While the Alberta government "has no obligation" to step in, it is providing $1.35 million in disaster relief so the city can acquire the empty lots.
